Words without meaning are mere noises from the brain, expelled through the mouth. Without intention, we take a few steps, but with it, we fly around the world. We connect, share, and communicate through a collection of sounds to which society has assigned meaning. Through stories—written and spoken—humans have connected with one another since the dawn of time. These stories have taught us about life from our ancestors, and we will pass them on to our descendants.

We urge you to listen beyond. Feel your body react and let yourself be swept up by the emotions behind the stories and songs recited by a community that is your own.
